Dr. Julie Edmunds

Program Director for Secondary School Reform at SERVE Center at UNC-Greensboro

Dr. Julie Edmunds, Program Director for Secondary School Reform at SERVE Center at UNC-Greensboro, will serve as the keynote speaker for the 4th Annual Scholar-Practitioner Symposium. Dr. Julie Edmunds conducts research on issues primarily related to high school reform. She has received over $8.8 million in research and evaluation funding. She has been the Principal Investigator for two Institute of Education Sciences-funded grants that use an experimental design to investigate the impact of the Early College High School model on student outcomes. She is also Principal Investigator for evaluations of two Investing in Innovation grants seeking to apply early college principles to traditional high schools. During her keynote address at the Symposium, Dr. Edmunds will discuss her extensive research on early college high schools, particularly focusing on the key impacts of early college high schools, how research has informed practice, and critical areas of future research.
