Title: Female Teachers as Lifelong Learners
Abstract: It is generally agreed that teaching is a profession that demands continuous learning for the sake of teachers’ career development and their ability to prepare students for the 21st century. With diverse and regular professional development programs, teachers are not enthusiastic about learning and the gains and outcomes remain unsatisfactory. This proposal, focusing on female teachers, attempts to find out why teachers are reluctant to continue their education by participating professional development programs and possible suggestions are offered accordingly.
